Throat and voice care in Prishtina
Novus ORL in Prishtina assesses throat, tonsil and voice concerns, as well as snoring problems. A consultation brings symptoms and examination findings together to determine what further assessment may be needed.
Book appointmentConcerns we assess
- Repeated tonsil infections
- Hoarseness and voice changes
- Snoring and suspected sleep apnea
The ENT assessment
The clinic's services include camera examination of the vocal cords. For snoring concerns, an ENT assessment considers the upper airway. A throat examination does not replace a sleep study when one is needed to diagnose sleep apnea.
Treatment information is general. The choice of treatment and where a procedure takes place are discussed during consultation; describing an operation does not mean it is performed on the clinic premises.
Surgical procedures
- Tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy
- Frenectomy
Common questions
Does snoring always mean sleep apnea?
No. Snoring can occur without apnea, but breathing pauses during sleep and daytime sleepiness are reasons for medical assessment. Diagnosis may require a sleep study.
Are tonsils removed after every infection?
No. The decision takes into account the frequency and documentation of infections, breathing problems and individual factors. Criteria for children should not automatically be applied to every patient.
