Concerns we assess

  • A blocked nose and difficulty breathing through the nose
  • Acute or chronic sinusitis
  • Allergic rhinitis, polyps and a deviated septum

The ENT assessment

The clinic lists nasal video endoscopy among its services. This examination can help assess the inside of the nose. Symptoms, their duration and examination findings help distinguish inflammation, allergy and anatomical obstruction.

Treatment information is general. The choice of treatment and where a procedure takes place are discussed during consultation; describing an operation does not mean it is performed on the clinic premises.

Surgical procedures

  • Rhinoseptoplasty
  • FESS (Functional endoscopic sinus surgery)

Common questions

Are allergy and sinusitis the same thing?

No. Allergy is a reaction to an allergen, while sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses. Symptoms can overlap and both conditions can occur together.

Does every deviated septum need surgery?

No. The decision depends on whether the deviation causes symptoms and what else affects breathing. Medicines can ease accompanying inflammation but cannot straighten deviated cartilage. Any decision about surgery is individual.
